Michael Rosenbaum Joins Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Smallville’s Lex Luthor has apparently been patient about keeping his trap closed when it comes to his casting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  It’s been a year, but now Michael Rosenbaum has taken to twitter to annoynce that he has a role in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.  However, it seems like that’s all he can say because we don’t know who he will be playing.  Director James Gunn revealed his casting recently on The Adam Carola Show Podcast with a few morsels that include Sylvester Stalones important role as well.

“We do have a couple of characters who are very important to the Marvel universe, who are going to make their debut in Guardians Vol. 2, that people don’t know about,” said Gunn. “And Sylvester Stallone plays one of these characters… But I will say that my friend Michael Rosenbaum also has a pretty decent role in the movie as well and it sort of works in tandem with Sly’s character.”

Since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits the big screens May 5th, it gives us just enough time to comb through the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe to figure out just which important characters these two will be playing.  The first, and most obvious guess would be a pair of Nova Corps members like Richard Rider and/or Jesse Alexander.  Aside from that we still need an Adam Warlock, so there’s a very good chance that one of these three will appear, my guess being an appearance in the post credits scene.

Comics, movies, television, and games. Everything else is uncivilized.
