Lost Alum joining ABC’s The Inhumans

We have learned that a former cast member of Lost is joining Marvel and ABC’s upcoming superhero show, The Inhumans.  The only problems are that no one knows who the actor or actress is and what the role could be.  So what the heck do we know?  Only what Meet the Movie Press co-host Jeff Sneider hinted at on his most recent show.  According to a source it is an non-gender specfic actor who has been on lost and will be playing a big role.  Here is exactly what Sneider said:

“It is a veteran. I’m not going to say whether it is a man or a woman, it’s a veteran of the television show LOST. A LOST veteran, I think, is getting a big role in The Inhumans. There is like 80 people in LOST. Good luck figuring that out!”

Well that is something I guess.  That really doesn’t narrow much down, because as he said, there are many folks who have been on LOST.  But let’s think about the roles that need to be cast.  Main members of the Inhuman Royal Family are Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, Lockjaw and Maximus the Mad.  We can rule out Lockjaw because, well, he is a dog.  Maximus is also out because Iwan Rheon has already been cast to play him.  There are also a lot of rumors going around based off of social media activity that some roles may already be filled.  Arrow star, Elysia Rotaru, sent a tweet that has many predicting her as Medusa. Similar tweets and activity have rumors of The Walking Dead actor, Owen Harn, as a likely favorite for Gorgon.  However, these tweets are not exactly press releases to Variety.  But if there is any weight to them, we could guess that this mysterious casting is most likely for Karnak, Triton, Crystal or Black Bolt.  But really, what role is bigger than Black Bolt?!

The Inhumans are a Marvel property and were created by the greats, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965.  They are an alien race that live among humans and mutants on Earth but posses individual powers that differ from character to character.  Iwan Rheon is the only official casting and Roel Reine is set to direct first two episodes in IMAX.  The Inhumans is set to air on ABC on September 1st, 2017.

With great power comes great responsibility, which is why I read and write about comics. Beats running around in spandex.
