From time to time we bring you news of great KickStarter campaigns, in hopes you will join us in backing their amazing projects. The latest KickStarter we want to bring to you is FEMME MAGNIFIQUE, a collection of 30 stories of amazing women of pop, politics, art and science, written and illustrated by some of the most talented creators in comics today! Here’s the description from their KickStarter site:

If you’re frustrated by what’s happening in the world right now, from the sudden jeopardy of women’s rights to the overall global negativity, join us in creating FEMME MAGNIFIQUE, a book that dares to turn the tables. Let’s remind everyone how far we’ve come and exactly where we’re going by saluting 30 female trailblazers of yesterday and today.
From astronauts and abolitionists to computer coders and crack journalists, these fearless women have paved the way for equal rights in science, politics and the arts. What better way to celebrate their achievements than in FEMME MAGNIFIQUE, a book that can live on in teenage bedrooms, corporate boardrooms and libraries around the world?
We’ve reached out to an A-list of writers and artists who have been published by major comics and book publishers including Random House, Marvel, DC Comics, Image and IDW. From New York Times best-selling authors and Literature Prize Winners, to Eisner award-winners and TED speakers, this diverse group of women and men hail from the U.S. and Canada, England, Singapore, Greece, and India to name just a few unique locales.  We’re united by a deep love and appreciation for the comics medium and its peerless power of graphic storytelling and we couldn’t think of a better time or format in which to bring FEMME MAGNIFIQUE to life.
Right now the project includes 30 stories – but if they hit the stretch goals we could see even more tales from a diverse group of amazing creators! As always, if I bring you a project it’s because I’m a backer myself – and we hope you will join us in backing FEMME MAGNIFIQUE! Just CLICK HERE to back the project!
