Jamie Chung Cast as Blink on Singer’s Untitled X-Men Project on Fox

Jamie Chung is moving out of Gotham and heading underground.  Deadline announced today that Fox’s untitled X-Men project by Bryan Singer have cast Jamie Chung as X-Men hero, Blink.  Blink is a character who was extremely popular in the 90’s due to The Age of Apocalypse and Exiles.  Blink has the ability to teleport, which makes a “blink” sound, hence the name. With this casting Jamie Chung is becoming the female counterpart of Chris Evans in the sense that she is constantly tied to a comic book projects.  Before coming onto X-Men, Chung has appeared in Gotham, Big Hero 6, Sin City: A Dame to Kill and Dragon Ball: Evolution.

Little is known about this this project except that it is about two normal parents who realize their child has mutant powers.  On the run from the government they go underground and seek help from other mutants.  X-Men series director Bryan Singer is the executive producer and Burn Notice creator Matt Nix will take up the role of show runner.  A release date has not yet been announced.
