Warner Bros. announced that DC’s Aquaman will no longer be opening on Oct. 5th, 2018 but instead will premiere during the Holiday’s on Dec. 21st, 2018 (Happy Birthday Mom!). This is the spot that was originally slated for James Cameron’s Avatar 2, which will no longer open in 2018. This move in release dates opens up a possible super hero crossover battle of epic proportions. This is the same date that Sony’s animated Spider-Man feature staring Miles Morales is intended to swing into theaters. Luckily for Warner Bros., Disney announced that Han Solo will be released in May and not be pushed to December like the last two Star Wars features.
Aquaman is directed by James Wan and stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman. Amber Heard will be playing the role of love interest, Merma and it is rumored that Nicole Kidman will play Aquaman’s mother, Atlanna. Unfortunately it is also confirmed that Zack Snyder will be a producer of the film, which is basically the uncredited villain. Aquaman first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 and was created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris. Aquaman was first portrayed by Vinnie Chase in James Cameron’s fictional Entourage Version…Sorry, we miss Entourage
