Writer Charles Soule (Daredevil) and artist Giuseppe Camuncoli (Amazing Spider-Man) are joining forces to bring us the second volume of Darth Vader. While the first volume took place between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, this volume picks up literally the second after Vader receives his bionic implants and dons his black armor towards the end of Revenge of the Sith. Soule is no stranger to Star Wars comics having penned Obi-Wan & Anikan, Poe Dameron, & Lando. In a conversation with IGN Soule talks about how the series will deal with Vader diving into the dark side and really learning what it means to be a Dark Lord of the Sith, starting with the creation of his iconic red lightsaber. Along with Emperor Palpatine and some other folks who survived the changing of the guard, we will see the Sith Inquisitors that debuted in the animated series Rebels. Keep your eyes peeled for Darth Vader #1 at your local comic shop this June.
